Face data notice
Last updated 23 October 2026
“Find my photos” is not switched on yet. Today InviteKeep does not scan faces in any photo. This notice sets out the rules the feature will follow when it launches, so hosts and guests know in advance.
What it does
On events where the host turns it on, a guest can take or upload a selfie to find album photos they appear in. Matches are shown only to that guest; hosts and other guests never see them.
Consent first
- It is off by default. The host must accept these terms to enable it for one event.
- Each guest reads what is processed, where and for how long, and ticks a box before any selfie is taken.
- Guests who do not opt in are never searched for, and the album works normally without it.
What we process
The selfie, and numerical face templates (“face vectors”) created from it and from the event’s album photos. Face vectors are stored per event, never combined across events, never used to identify people by name, never sold, and never used to train models.
How long we keep it
- “Delete my selfie” removes your selfie and face vectors immediately.
- All face data for an event is deleted 30 days after its album closes, or when the host turns the feature off.
Where it is not available
Face data is biometric data under laws such as the GDPR (Article 9), Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI and India’s DPDP Act. The feature will not be offered where local law requires more than this notice and consent can provide; the list of excluded regions will be published here before launch.
